This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing modules.
You can drag and and drop to rearrange.
You can edit modules to customize them.
The left side has modules you can add!
Some modules you can only access when you get a subscription.
Some modules have options that are only available when you get a subscription.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain modules can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Hey! I'm not much into abstract..but there's something about your paintings. They're almost mesmerizing. Do you just paint freely to your heart's content? Also, are black and white the only colors you use??
Yes, in the series of works you are referring to, I painted very freely -- almost on autopilot, or in a trance -- as if in some kind of shamanistic dance. Those works are a sort of an expressionist meditation on the nature the universe. That sounds a little pompous, but at the time I was reading, and thinking, a lot about quantum physics, string theory, cellular automata, eastern religion, and then later, locked in my studio, those are the types of paintings that were coming out of my sloppy and ill-functioning nervous system. Fundamentally, those paintings are about rhythm (again, the dance analogy)...
As for color, I do paint in color, but for the past few years I've been exploring contrast, rhythm, and structure via black-and-white. At the moment, I seem to be returning both to both figuration and color, but only time will tell. I generally go where the painting seems to be leading at the time...
Keep up painting
